VISA: Values I Identity I Strengths I Aptitude
A Visa opens up a land of opportunities that non-Americans only dreamed of. In the same way, when students identify their personal VISA, their life will change as they will learn to understand themself, growing in confidence. Self awareness is a super-power, and this phase allows students to create their personal VISA.
Stage 1: VISA
This stage unpacks the questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What do I value? Students begin to create their personal VISA.
Stage 2: Transferrable Skills, Blindspots, and Decision-Making
Stage 2 allows students to unpack their transferrable skills, recognize and do something about their blindspots, and learn to make wise decisions through our self-created DECIDE model.
Stage 3: Overcoming Limiting
Beliefs
99.5% of people overthink and with that have negative self-talk and limiting beliefs. This stage teaches them to recognize their “Mental Mixtapes”, and how to cancel broken mixtapes, change to a new mixtape, and continue positive mental mixtapes.
Stage 4: Career Sweet Spot & Peanut Theory
Students will unpack their career sweet spot and recognize the core of who they are and who they are becoming through the “Peanut Theory”.
Phase 2: CAPES
Career development/networking
CAPES: Career Assessment I Personality I Exploration I Shadow
Similar to Superman, a cape takes Clark Kent from ordinary to extraordinary. When he puts on a CAPE, he is ready to fly. In the same way, when a student is self aware, they can effectively identify and communicate their unique offering, and they will conduct an informational interview, job shadow, and potentially an internship – this is a superpower.
Stage 5: Personality/Career Assessments
Students will take a career and personality assessment that will provide verbiage to who they are and what they want to do.
Stage 6: SHINE: 30 Second Commercial
Students will create a 30-second commercial to learn how to communicate their unique offering through our SHINE method.
Stage 7: Informational Interview
Students will learn how to: speak with professionals in the field of their choosing, interview them, and ultimately utilize this meeting to decipher career fit.
Stage 8: Job Shadow/ Internship
Students will learn to schedule and execute a proper job shadow in the interest of their choosing and learn about internship opportunities available for them.
Phase 3: CAR

CAR: Cutting-edge Resumes I Acing Interviews I Re-imagined Digital Portfolios I Roadmap Creation
At this stage, students are learning to take control of their lives and their future. They realize they are in the driver’s seat, and they are driving the car. They do this through learning how to master the art of writing a tailored-resume, ace any interview, creating a digital portfolio, and
Stage 9: ATS friendly and Cutting-edge Resume Creation
Our resume session is like taking a jet compared to a bicycle ride. While anyone can attempt to create a basic resume, it’s a complex journey. Our credentialed resume experts are your ticket to transforming your resume from ordinary to outstanding, as they teach students how to master the art of resume writing to stand out in today’s competitive market. We provide unique, ATS-friendly resume templates based on industry trends that are personalized for all students, pairing it with a detailed checklist and pre-writing guide. Whether a student has minimal experience or aiming for an Ivy League school, we have you covered. Our focus on teaching you how to craft a professional resume that serves you now and in the future.
Stage 10: Acing Interviews
Through this stage, the student will learn how to ace every stage of the interview process from the opening communication to the post-interview. Whether a student is applying for an entry level position, college, an internship, or an eventual professional role, they will learn, in an engaging way, how to prepare for each style of interview, ask the appropriate questions, a system for answering the traditional to obscure question in a way that makes the Hiring Manager say: You’re hired!
Stage 11: Re-imagine Digital Portfolio
In this stage, the students will create a digital portfolio, leveraging LinkedIn, and a Video resume.
Stage 12: Roadmap Creation
In this final stage, students will leave with their roadmap for success, which will jumpstart the final phase: JET.
PHASE 4: JET
J – Joint Accountability (InvestNU, Parent/Guardian, and Community)
E – Engagement (Check-ins, Meetings, and Resource Provision)
T – Teamwork (Collaborative effort for student success)
At the completion of the video module series, unlike other similar programs, we aren’t done at the completion of the 12 modules. Instead, we have a final phase. The final phase is named “JET” as this final phase will propel the students forward through our three pronged approach.
INVESTNU: InvestNU will provide year-long group cohort virtual coaching to support, challenge, and ensure students are staying on track with their personalized roadmap, including bi-monthly personalized check-in calls.
Guardian: We created a map for parents/guardians to help support the growth of their children.
Community: INVESTNU prepares students to gain accountability through their roadmap. We have an easy check-in
